Our clients in Rowtown, Surrey wanted to create a garden perfect for entertaining. To provide the maximum functionality of the garden we excavated below ground level to create a clever and seamless transition between the spaces. Using timber sleepers we built retaining walls to border the area and create a defined footprint, we then added interest and design interest with a tiled floor. The vaulted ceiling on the pergola promises protection from the elements while not losing the airy and open feeling of being outside in the garden.
