First impressions are key, so when these Surrey based clients brought us on to extend their entry way we had some ideas! The brief was to modernise their space and ensure a light and airy feeling capitalising on the natural light the space has. We approached the project with these goals in mind, bringing in specialist contractors to execute the clients vision of a glass fronted entrance. Adding in a full wall of double glazed windows with black aluminium framing providing superior thermal insulation, and durability to a busy part of the home. The black aluminium gives a modern look while keeping the framing to a minimum maximises the feeling of nature indoors. Finishing the space with a natural stone tile our tilers created a seamless feel from indoors to outside, making the space feel larger. We added custom joinery, for storage solutions and to add some more natural materials to soften the room. Painting the space white with soft warm grey accents ties in the colours found in the natural stone flooring as well as pulls through the rest of the home. The black traditional style radiators speak to the black framed doors while nodding to the original parts of the property and acts as a striking focal point for the entryway.
