Siberian Larch Cladding with Chimney - Newbury
Updated: May 4
An old cow shed brought back to life with a full renovation project of a stunning holiday home in Newbury. Striking Siberian Larch was used as the cladding on the project, a high-density wood which is incredibly durable. It brings a modern finish and as it’s durable isn’t at risk of scrapes and scratches as other woods can be. If left untreated this wood will naturally grey and have a more weathered look which will help the renovated building fit in even more with the surrounding landscape. We added an open fire to the property and installed a custom chimney in keeping with the exterior of the building. The juxtaposition between the Siberian Larch cladding and the chimney adds visual interest to the project as well as being practical and sustainable choices.
